Avoid Word 97

It will take you at least three (3) times as long to place inline equations in Word 97 as it does in Word 95 or Word 2000. It will take much longer than that to convert documents. Word 97 takes three mouse clicks to insert an inline equation but Word 95 and Word 2000 only required one.

If You Must Use Word 97, to insert an inline equation you have created in MathEdit and copied to the clipboard into a document:

  1. Select Edit | Paste Special
  2. Uncheck floating over text
  3. Click Ok.

If Use Word 95 or Word 2000, to insert an inline equation you have created in MathEdit and copied to the clipboard into a document:

  1. Paste equation or Control+V
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT USE Word 97.
